Our child sponsorship program is based on a Holistic Child Development model that seeks to simultaneously address key aspects of a child’s life—spiritual, intellectual, physical, emotional, and social—through learning opportunities and developmental interventions. Through this model, children are encouraged to grow into the people God created them to be.

Through NCM’s child sponsorship program, children are enrolled in a Holistic Child Development program that includes the following:

• Spiritual Development: NCM partners with local churches to help children understand that God loves them, that they are created in God’s image, that they are valued and have God-given dignity, and that they can have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Intellectual Development: By providing tutoring, formal education, and life skills training, Holistic Child Development programs help children develop their minds and gain opportunities for future employment that will help them interrupt the cycle of poverty and will benefit them throughout their lives.
• Physical Development: To ensure healthy physical and mental development, children gain supplemental nutrition, hygiene education, and preventative health care.
• Emotional Development: As a result of poverty, hunger, natural disasters, war, and the HIV/AIDS pandemic, many children live with the scars of emotional trauma. Holistic Child Development programs enable children to heal and grow by connecting them with caring sponsors, counselors, and a local church family.
• Social Development: Through Holistic Child Development programs and the wisdom and love of committed sponsors and local leaders, children learn to work and play together, build lasting relationships, and love God and others.

NCM’s Holistic Child Development model also recognizes the importance of family and community in a child’s life, knowing that the best child development happens when children grow up in the context of a loving, healthy, empowered family. We are committed to working alongside families and communities to help children develop their God-given potential.

1. Choose a child to sponsor. You can search by location, gender, age, and birthday. If you click the “special needs” box, you can also find profiles connected with our special needs sponsorship, which includes both children and young adults with mental or physical disabilities. If you choose, we can also match you with a child in need of a sponsor if you email cs@ncm.org or call us toll free at 800-310-6362.
2. Sign up through our simple online process.
3. Within two weeks, you will receive a new sponsor packet, which will include your sponsored child’s photo and profile, plus additional information about how NCM’s child sponsorship program works.
4. Begin a relationship with the child you sponsor!
