For women and girls caught in disasters, access to feminine hygiene products becomes a critical need because stores are closed, homes are destroyed, and often, menstruation is the last thing on their minds. Starting next year, we will add unscented, individually wrapped, regular, and overnight sanitary napkins to the packing list for kits. Having these much-needed supplies will allow women and girls to focus on the safety and recovery without the stress of caring for their menstrual needs.
